The first “full” trailer for Inception debuted today on the internet. A French version popped up last week, but disappeared courtesy of Warner Brothers. If you have seen Sherlock Holmes, then you have already seen this trailer. The trailer itself is only a minute long, but gives us a few more images than the teaser trailer. Does it give away more of the plot? Somewhat, but this seems to be a trippy, weird movie, so I don’t think anyone is very clear on what is happening in this movie.
We still have...

Welcome back, we took an extended vacation from Lost in News last week due to pretty much a complete lack of news. All that was coming out were trailers some of which will get covered in Lost in Previews. This week may be similar as Hollywood goes on a holiday...

I had high hopes for Guy Ritchie’s (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch) version of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. I have always been a fan of Ritchie’s visual style and when I heard that he was to be given a shot at a main stream film the size of Holmes I became even more excited. Even though Warner Bro’s is the studio promoting a free range artistic new view to film making, it seems that when it came to Ritchie’s style some restraints may have been applied.
Warner is the studio...

Trying to describe to you why you should see The Young Victoria is like trying to describe why you need to see The Sistine Chapel, you can’t. You just have to go, and then you know. Now that may be a strong comparison but once you stack up all of the great things that this film has, it’s not so crazy.
There is outstanding acting by Emily Blunt and Rupert Friend, and especially Mark Strong as the villain of this true story. Emily Blunt played Victoria beautifully. With a simple hop and a skip down the hall, you could...

With an all star cast, fantastic score, excellent cinematography and an Oscar winning Director on board, what could go wrong?
Plenty. I had high hopes for Nine, being a fan of Rob Marshall’s previous work, Chicago and Memoirs of a Geisha, and just being a jolly fan of musicals. This film has plenty of great scenes, just not enough to make a great film. Nine is about Guido Cotini (Daniel Day-Lewis), an Italian Director that has made some fantastic movies in the past and lately has come out with a few “flops.”...

Nancy Meyers has struck gold again with her latest creation, It’s Complicated. With other big hits under her belt like Something’s Gotta Give and The Holiday, she certainly has a built in audience with this one. The great news is that this film caters to people outside of the romantic comedy genre. If you want to laugh at genuine humor brought to you by some of the best actors in the business, you can’t go wrong with It’s Complicated.
The fast-paced comedy tells the story of Jane (Meryl Streep) a post-divorced...

I anticipate this ends badly…and it does. This is what happens when children are looked at by Hollywood as nothing more than walking dollar signs that easily pull cash from their parents wallets. A movie with references to films that the only crowd that has any interest in this film will completely miss, Taxi Driver?!? Really? I am sorry to say but short of a really cool parent that has maybe shown their 12 year old Taxi Driver, NO one will get the reference. Why was it even included? Not to mention I would think said cool...

So it seems that by the end of January 2010 my weekly Scrubs recaps will no longer be necessary and I am kind of wondering if I will be out of a job with Lost In Reviews, figuratively speaking of course, but still the news of ABC’s decision to burn off the remaining episodes of this once so great show got me to wondering if I should even continue period. So after some deep soul searching, not all that deep to be honest, I have come to the conclusion that I am with this show until the bitter end. Because truthfully it...

It’s been many years since the six screen theater at Crown Center shuttered it’s doors. Since that time a little more than half of the cineplex was converted to the Off Center Theater while the remaining theaters went empty and unused, a sad state for any theater.
All that is about to change however as the Screenland Crown Center prepares to open their doors on Christmas day presenting The Road, Me and Orson Welles and the fabulous Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Lost in Reviews was invited to an advanced preview of the two screen...

It has been a wild year for the crew here at Lost in Reviews though our one year anniversary will be in April of next year, we would like to say thank you to all of our readers that have helped to make Lost in Reviews what it is today.
Lost In Reviews has compiled what we think are the ten best movies of 2009 and only one film will go home with the honor of being the Lost in Reviews film of the year and take home “The Bateman.” If you haven’t seen all of these movies you should run out of your house right now...

As expected being a holiday week news has slowed to a trickle. We may not have daily updates this week. All kind of hinges on how much news is really making the rounds. In this light Tuesday edition of Lost in News we have a couple of new posters including Shutter...
