I arrived early at The Granada for the show and spent my time watching the random crowd of friendly strangers file in. From moms bringing their daughters, to the cool college kids decked out in plaid and headbands, to the yuppies that just got off work, this crowd wasn’t missing any genre, there was even a Slipknot shirt spotted. Overall, the crowd felt relaxed, and unconcerned, that was until the opening band, Red Cortez took to the stage. The four piece is a recently signed group from Los Angeles and was surprisingly...

I’m liking where this season of Heroes is heading and after three episodes I’m hooked again. In Chapter three “Ink” we find ourselves back at the carnival following Samuel Sullivan (Robert Knepper) on the path to replace fallen carnies. In the last episode he was after Hiro (Masi Oka), and this time Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) is in his sights. While impersonating a victim of Peter’s overtime heroics, he hits Peter right where it hurts, with his gullible empathy. In this meeting between Peter and Samuel...

Before you get to angry from the title, hear me out. I’m a Halo fan, I’ve beaten every Halo game on Legendary up to this point, I’ve read the books, and for the most part, I’ve loved everything about it. You could imagine that, like any Halo fan, once I got my hands on ODST, I was jumping up and down like a little girl. The trailers did everything right and the new Firefight modes looked totally awesome. Unfortunately, Bungie failed to let us know that we would be paying $65 for half a game.
I don’t...

Who would have thought that Dexter would end up married, a father of 3, and Living the Dream, as the episode title states? I guess those of us who read the book series had a heads up, but season 4 has a life of it’s own that looks chalk full of danger, dark comedy, and edge-of-your-seat thrills.
Living the Dream. It’s what every American strives for. That is, unless you’re a serial killer. While Dexter may have everything he could ever want, he doesn’t have the one thing he really needs —...

Sunday night has become the stand out night for real good TV, a lot of the major networks knowing this have backed off and let cable have it’s day. At first this night was owned by HBO, because its not TV and all and a little show called The Sopranos let all of America into the lives of the mob, even though I loved that show and what it did for television, I don’t think we have ever had a Sunday like tonight. My line up was as followed: Californication, Dexter, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Mad Men, and Entourage. Now I...

The original Fame of 1980 won 2 Academy Awards, 1 BAFTA Award, and was nominated for quite a few more. Riding on that success, it was later recreated as a television show and a smash hit musical. It was just a matter if time before someone in Hollywood decided we needed another go around. This adaptation has a few of the same elements, but it just isn’t quite the same.
Fame follows a group of dancers, singers, actors and other artists as they make their way through the New York City High School of Performing Arts. ...

If you’re a fan of The Matrix, Bladerunner, and I Robot, then you’ll have an idea of what to expect from Surrogates. In a way, it is a surrogate of all these movies — a virtual puppet in the whole sci-fi robot genre with them pulling all the strings. Set in a futuristic version of present day, naturally, it’s up to one man to save the world from utter destruction.
What was originally an idea for the physically handicapped and limbless population, this ground-breaking technology has advanced from...

It Might Get Loud is a profile on three of music’s greatest gifts: Jack White (The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin, The Yardbirds) and The Edge (U2). I mean, come on. What else do you need? Prepare yourself for jam sessions that will have you rocking out like it’s 1973, without the long hair and smelly band van. So grab your jeans jacket and favorite pair of sunglasses because this Holy Trinity of rock brings together every element you need for a fun and interesting “rockumentary”.

Tonight was the premiere of the new ABC show, Flash Forward. The gist of it is, the entire world blacks out for about two minutes and after they wake up, they begin to realize what they were seeing while they were all blacked out was of the same moment six months in the future. So, something major will happen again in the world on April 29th, 2010 at 10pm East Coast time. The characters spent a good portion of the show describing their flash forwards and giving us an idea of the future. The main character of the show is Mark...
