Lost in Reviews was invited to partake in a round table Q&A on Friday with Director Pete Docter, and Co-Director Bob Peterson of this summers Up which hits DVD and Blu-Ray November 10. Being the day before Halloween some of the questions got a bit festive as the Pixar duo were in costume and started ribbing each other about their costume choices. They also previewed one of the bonus features from the dual disc DVD and 4 disc Blu-Ray release; a featurette titled Adventure is Out There. It follows the creative team of UP as...

Halloween Horror Nights has been scaring people for nineteen years now, and as far as I can tell, they have only gotten scarier and better at their job. HHN is located in Universal Studios Orlando and for a few weeks a year, they transform their family-friendly theme park into the ultimate scare fest. This year they went with the story of The Palace Theater where rumors that the films have come to life are rampant and tales of murder are not far behind.
To tell this gruesome tale, Universal used the Character of the usher, a...

Every once in a while, a film comes along that keeps you thinking long after it has ended, the Coen Brothers are genius when it comes to this. Even with all of the laughs in this story, it will be the Coens that have the last laugh. The Coens have always had a flair for Jewish culture to make an appearance in their films, no matter how small it may have been, it was still very noticeable. How fitting, that the Coens wrap up an entire film about being Jewish and “being chosen by God,” that we may finally get a sense...

Brütal Legend throws you back into memories of Heavy Metal from 1981. Remember that? Trolls, scantily clad women, medieval weapons and over-the-top metal riffs. Brütal Legend brings modern day laughs into the ancient world of vikings and Stonehenge. Prepare to have your face melted, your jeans acid washed, and your hair to be trimmed into a godly, flowing mullet. With guitar and make-up kit in hand, we bravely step into the world of metal.
The story of Brütal Legend is centered around the world’s greatest roadie,...

Welcome to my first post on Lost in Reviews. My name is Sarah, and I will be your tour guide on all things movie trailers. I am a bit of a trailer-aholic. My friends will tell you that I am, so I fully admit to it. I have loved trailers ever since I can remember and once sought out a certain VHS tape just to get the trailer that ran before it (mind this was pre-internet).
Another thing I fully admit to is being a Twihard, Twigirl, or whatever else people call us. I started reading the books about a month or so prior...

Lost in Reviews checked out Worlds of Fun’s Halloween Haunt which is now in it’s third year, Saturday night. We really weren’t sure what to expect from the Haunt. I personally had heard mostly positive things about it from prior years regarding it being pretty scary and a good value, while Ryan was walking in with little previous knowledge of it. The haunt which begins at 7:30PM with the Overlords Awakening continues this Thursday, Friday and Saturday through October 31 and consist of nine ‘extreme haunts’...

This fly on the wall experience of what it takes to put together a large scale boundary-pushing production is entertaining for it’s showman as much as it is a behind the scenes peek at what looks to have been an amazing show.
Remove yourself from all the outside personal turmoil of Jackson’s life and you are left with the undisputed King of Pop. This is on full display in This Is It, the new documentary compiled from footage of the rehearsal for Michael’s planned 50 show run that was due to take place at London’s...

Check out the first five minutes of Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day. The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is the much-anticipated sequel to the indie cult classic, The Boondock Saints. The film is the continuation of writer/director Troy Duffy’s tough, stylized cutting edge saga of the MacManus brothers (Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery). The two have been in deep hiding with their father, Il Duce (Billy Connolly), in the quiet valleys of Ireland, far removed from their former vigilante lives. When word comes that...

Except for the gripping ending, Dirty Harry mostly played out as the aftermath of the previous episode. This is a good thing, though. We were left with quite the cliffhanger as Deb and Lundy were shot. We find out that Lundy is in fact dead, and Deb pulls through with just some stitches. She is beating herself up about his death, sure that it is her fault somehow. Dexter tries to comfort her, but he simply doesn’t know how.
In a fantastically haunting scene, Deb breaks down in front of Dex, claiming that she is broken;...

In the 1930’s, Amelia Earhart was a woman of great achievements to be admired. Men wanted her and women wanted to be her. Most all of us know of the tragic end that became of her, so why do we want to see the movie?
That was the question I had when I sat down to see Amelia. I can’t say that I was completely answered or left with a sense of something new. The story almost plays out like a documentary of her life. It begins immediately when Amelia (Hilary Swank) is meeting with Mr. Putnam (Richard Gere) about financing...
