Season 4 of Dexter has all been about the family: Dexter’s family, Trinity’s family and Trinity’s secret family members. That’s right! Quinn’s nasty girlfriend actually had a purpose in this show, not just to be naked, but to be a plot twist! I know that it was mentioned in the previous episode of Dexter, but this episode gives a lot more back story to her character and of Trinity’s past. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes of Dexter to date, even topping when they blew up Doakes.
So,...

Welcome to Lost in Previews Round Up #2. In this edition, we have the trailers for Oceans, Leap Year, It’s Complicated, Peter and Vandy, and Clash of the Titans.
I am a big fan of the Planet Earth series. I was excited for the movie Earth to come out on Earth Day 2009. Earth had one of the best trailers. Being an animal person, the trailer got a few tears from me. It was just a really well put together trailer with great music and images. Seeing Earth on the big theatre screen was amazing even though the movie...

Here is another review brought to you by Frothy Girlz.com
Last episode of Season 7 gives us even more Seinfeld than last week’s “Table Read”; in fact, almost an entire episode plays out while behind the scenes Larry deals with evening the favors owed to studio coffee-jockey Mocha Joe; gets jealous over Jason Alexander’s coaching lessons with Cheryl, and tries to solve the mystery of who left the coffee stain on Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ table.
Though stronger than most episodes this season, it really didn’t seem to aim...

“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
This excerpt from Robert Frost’s classic poem, The Road Not Taken, encompasses the reason why you should go see The Road. You’ve seen tons of films about the end of the world – aliens coming to kill us (or save us), biblical apocalypse, nuclear war games, machines taking over, natural disasters, and apes enslaving...

I’m so glad I got to review this movie! Let’s face it, ninjas are awesome, not as awesome as pirates, but a close second place. Unfortunately, ninjas have been hiding from the media lately. There hasn’t been a movie about the shadow warriors in a long time, but the ninja may be coming back into the mainstream public. Prepare yourself to enter a land of mystic powers and really, really, really violent and angry ninjas.
Alright, do you want take a guess at what the story is about? I hate to ruin the suspense,...

I have found a movie that is more worthy of being called ”Travolting” than Battlefield Earth. Let me introduce you to my personal hell, Disney’s Old Dogs. If you’re a fan of RV, Are We There Yet, Cheaper By the Dozen, and Home Alone 3, then grab your popcorn and get ready for your next favorite movie full of nothing but sight gags, slapstick, and pratfalls that coat a story so shallow you couldn’t even drown yourself if you tried. Trust me, if you’re not a fan of low comedy and you...

We all remember when the zombie apocalypse hit the fictional cities of Fairfield and Riverside in Left 4 Dead, but things have gone south. Now, we’re getting some southern hospitality in settings like Louisiana. Unfortunately, “hospitality” includes a ton of zombies, new Special Infected and hurricanes. It looks like it’s going to be the worst Mardi Gras ever.
So, Left 4 Dead 2 (L4D2) is the sequel to Valve’s beloved zombie shooter. I guess that a sequel was easier than making some new content...

The beautiful thing about Dexter Morgan is that he has quite a way of getting into your heart. He’s a character that doesn’t disappoint you, and when he does have to step out of his usual behavior, he makes you glad he did. Fittingly, this week in episode 4.09, Hungry Man, we remember exactly why we are thankful for Dexter.
Dexter’s staking out Trinity’s house when he witnesses a fight inside between him and his son. Trinity really seems like an abusive person. The son rushes from the house and...

An Education is a coming-of-age tale about a sixteen year old girl in early sixties London. After World War II, but before The Beatles, London seemed to be a pretty boring place. Luckily for us, a fresh and unique story can come from this exact setting and make you feel a colorful spectrum of emotions. After getting critical acclaim from the Sundance Film Festival, Kansas City finally gets An Education.
The story all revolves around a girl named Jenny, who is working hard to get into Oxford University, but she isn’t...

Below is a video review of Precious with myself (Angela) and Shannon from FrothyGirlz.com After that is a print review just from Angela, enjoy.
Precious is an empowering, yet brutal film to sit through. It is not a movie I would recommend, but one that I think everyone should view at least once. Precious is based on the novel “Push” by Sapphire. Director Lee Daniels (Shadowboxer) held our eyelids open to the truth of young women and the tribulations they can face. “Push” is a composite of the devalued...

The 50’s and several 80′s sci-fi classics receive an affectionate love letter in Planet 51. It’s heart is in the right place, but the weak story, lame jokes and bland characters short the postage to get the kid- friendly homage delivered.
It’s obvious early on in Planet 51 that those involved in creating the film have a great love of classic eighties sci-fi films. Within the first thirty minutes I lost count of how many times Back to the Future, Alien(s), and E.T. were referenced. The story is pretty basic, nothing...

On a scale from one to ten, the intensity with which I didn’t want to see this movie was a sturdy 9. I’m not interested in football movies, I’m not a fan of movies that intend on pulling your heart strings the whole time and I was pretty sure that this was going to blend the two into one, but I walked away from this movie very pleased with what I saw. This movie really surprised me, it wasn’t all about football and it wasn’t constantly trying to make you reach for Kleenex and Zoloft.
The story is...
