Nearly two years after the tragic death of Heath Ledger, his final piece has come to fruition and opened for the world to see. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was the last film he had a chance to work on, but not complete. It was because of the kindness of actors and friends of Heath: Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell stepping in to complete his part in a likeness of Heath himself, that it was possible to finish.
Doctor Parnassus is the story of a traveling theater company, or more like carnies putting on a show each...

Giving any kind of description of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus just does the film an injustice. It is the type of film that you should see on your own and allow yourself to come to your own conclusion. On the surface, this film is about a traveling show that can not only entertain it’s audience but also give them a look into their own being. These lucky patrons can thank the magical mind of Doctor Parnassus (Christopher Plummer) for this little bit of enlightenment. Through special powers, Parnassus can send them...

From the start, Youth in Revolt answers the question “is this just another teen comedy?” With just a couple grunts and moans as we watch the Dimension logo disappear only to see a self-loving Michael Cera. Youth in Revolt holds no punches in it’s story of Nick Twisp, a teenage boy trying to find love and the perks that come with it. The only problem is that he had to leave the girl he loves behind when his family vacation ends. In a last ditch effort to get back to the love of his life Sheeni Saunders, Nick...

It was probably a good idea that I decided to wait 24 hours to write this review which has given me time to calm down after having to sit through however many minutes of completely regurgitated Hollywood crap that Leap Year became.
Leap Year is the story of a city girl from Boston, who has it all. Anna (Amy Adams) is a professional stager, which means she furnishes apartments for sale. She and her cardiologist boyfriend, Jeremy (Adam Scott) are about to get into the most prestigious apartment in town and now all that is missing...

Well class, I hope you enjoyed your winter break, because class is back in session. Now if you are wondering why I am posting on an episode that aired last week well it would be because I was in the process of moving and not only did I not have access to television, but I also did not have access to the internet. I know, I know it was hard for me too. In fact I still don’t have cable or satellite hooked up (that happens tomorrow) but thanks to the ingenious folks over at TV Shack I was able to take a gander at last...

Broadway Across America’s production at the Musical Hall of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is lots of fun and worth stretching out your holiday for.
Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is one of those shows that I walked into nearly dreading. Christmas can really irk me. Go ahead, call me a Scrooge. I suppose it’s the false happy face many seem to put on, the forced fake enthusiasm. The ‘magic’ of Christmas was lost on me somewhere around the age of 10 I believe. I, however have never quite tired...
