The Wolfman video reviews

For the release of The Wolfman, a few of us had something to say about it. So, below you will find a video review of Angela and Shannon (from Frothygirlz) talking about their favorite parts. Below that is a video review of John and Ryan talking spoilers about The Wolfman. You have been warned.

    SPOILER ALERT: WOLFMAN WAS the Ultimate throwback REMAKE Ever. I loved it. It gave you some new with CGI but it gave you the old with the look, the story, and the acting was on the spot. I loved Anthony Hopkins. Lawrence Lawrence you've done bad things Lawrence that was the shit. I love Benicio. It gave you good horror. But I needed a little bit more blood. Some of the parts for me were a little cheesy like mac a roni and cheese. I agree the fight scene was a needed moment but it could've came a little bit better. We did have a strong heroine bout time. We don't need somebody crying every ten minutes, or waiting for someone to come save her, & boohooing like she could'nt handle business, she did. I love the transformations. But I'm into horror. I wanted a little bit more. But did you see Benicio's walk even when he turned to a werewolf it was a cool ass walk. Details,Details,Details. I miss Lost for this! And I must say it was well worth the Lost moments cause Lost wtf did Kate do? Hey I give it 4.5 head shots out 5….HOWLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!(Maybe we'll get a 2, but I hope not let lying wolves lie.)

    I can't believe how bad the reviews are on this it’s like people wanted to hate it. I’m happy were not alone in liking it though thanks Brandy aka 1 fan of LIR.

    I gave it 2.5 “Hungry Like a Wolf”s out of 5. I am torn with this one. A Love/Hate… Like a wolfman. I felt as if the movie was kinda disjointed. I blame that on the refilming, because it felt refilmed, recut, even maybe rushed. BUT, I felt like it was a great remake. The full faced running scenes and “shock scares” were classic. And then they modernized it by adding the blood and guts of a modern day horror film. The “final battle” was too cheesy for me. HOWEVER, The city chase scene was amazing. I never really cared too much about the characters either. YET, i did feel like it was beautifully acted.

    I thought the movie was JUST ok. I didn't like it, but I didn't dislike it. I thought the acting was good & that it was cast well. But I didn't feel like there was very good character development. I thought the storyline was VERY predictable. I haven't seen the original, though, so I don't know how similar the stories are. I felt like the beginning of the movie was way too slow. It did however give you that suspense factor that leads up to all the action. Like you guys said in your video reviews, I felt like the movie was really disjointed. Like it had been shot & re-shot & re-edited too many times. I'm not a fan of horror movies, & I don't think I would consider this one. I would consider it a very gory thriller? I wasn't expecting so much blood & guts, but I don't think it hurt the film at all. SPOILER: I did feel like the WOLMAN vs WOLFMAN fight scene at the end was cheesier than ever. I thought it was directed horribly. I just felt like it was just blah. Jumping on the walls (which looked terrible) & the ridiculous decapitation. I felt like the mixture of the CGI & the costuming didn't mix. You could clearly tell when it was CGI & when it was just makeup & costume. I personally would've preferred more CGI, versus what I thought was a mediocre WOLFMAN costume & makeup. But then again, I'm not an actual movie critic. I'm just a self-proclaimed movie buff like my brother. Anyway, I'm glad I won the passes & didn't pay for them. Otherwise I think I would've been pretty disappointed. So thanks to LostInReviews!

    Completely agree with you here in almost all aspects you described. I never cared about any of the characters. As much as I like all the actors, i could careless if they turned into a werewolf or was eaten by one or whatever. For me, it's just a dumbed down movie action movie with some elements of horror. I really wanted to like this because Joe Johnston will be directing Captain America. Oh well.

    I'm with you in the fact that it's a thriller and not really a horror movie. I was never jumping out of my seat, but it is hard to do that with a character that we all grew up with. If you look at it as a remake though it was a huge success.
    I would also say that with out the Asylum scene my review would have been much lower.
    The only thing the end fight scene was missing was an announcer saying “lets get ready to rumble”.

And it’s the reason I gave it what I gave it. In my rating reality I wouldn’t even have given it a R rating. U can see some harder shit on Chiller sometimes even when they are constantly cutting things out and beeping stuff. Thriller mmm Maybe horror no. Could’ve been better yes. Was it horrible I’ve seen worst films Period. Am I a critic hell na. I just love f’in movies!!!!! B
