The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Trailer!

I had to work all day and the computer at work won’t allow you to watch videos.  Of course, I rushed home to watch the whole 90 second The Twilight Saga: Eclipse trailer.  I have to say that I am disappointed in the trailer and what is shown.  You don’t really get any excitement or cool scenes like the trailer(s) for New Moon (any of them).  The music in the background was just generic.  The lines they chose to use in the trailer are corny.  I do like the locations they used, very pretty.  You get to see four of the Volturi again as they come to check if Bella has been turned vampire yet.  There are no wolves or any fight training.  We don’t even see any of the Cullens except for Edward.  Probably the coolest scene in the trailer is seeing Victoria jump over the river, but then you realize that’s Bryce Dallas Howard in a bad wig, not Rachelle Lefevre.  Firing Rachelle Lefevre is still one of the biggest mistakes this franchise has made.  The fact that they tried to make Bryce’s wig look like Rachelle’s hair is just awful.  Oh, and Kristen Stewart is now party to the bad wig movement in these movies.  She had to have a wig to hide her The Runaways Joan Jett mullet.  I really do want to like this trailer, but it is just not what the New Moon trailers were.  They need to hire whoever did those trailers to do the Eclipse trailers.  I hope the movie is not horrible because the Twihards will revolt (or just blindly love it, but that’s not going to happen with me).  David Slade (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) directs Eclipse.  Hopefully, I won’t be disappointed on June 30, 2010.

Let me know what you guys think.  Maybe I am just in a bad mood today or something.

Well, it's pretty difficult to evaluate a two hour movie from a trailer that is less than two minutes of mashed up dialogue and images. It's a safe bet, based on the New Moon trailers alone, that the dialogue in this trailer is not what actually goes with the footage used. Why they selected what they did, and why they put it together the way they did, only their marketing people know for sure. I will say the photography looks good, the makeup looks great (better than New Moon, particularly when it comes to Edward) and it's just enough to tease the fans. Which really is all I expect from a trailer at this point.
