A Different Path is a documentary of sorts. It aims to educate the viewer about the growing need for properly paved sidewalks, ramps and areas where people can be free from fear that a car may run them down. The documentary takes place over a couple of different cities: Seattle, Toronto, New York and Portugal.
What originally drew me to this film was the very interesting stop motion that would be used to move the chapters of the story forward and invoke emotion. There were some very cool ways of showing nostalgia by just pushing...

I was feeling two things tonight: bored and snarky. So I am bringing you plenty of new trailers to keep you busy for the next week, hopefully. I would love your input on these trailers too. Do you want to see one more than the rest, do you agree with my snarkyness on some of them? Just let me know at the bottom.
Sex and the City 2
Okay, I had to start with my guilty pleasure. Yes, I saw the first one, twice and yes I own the box set of the show. Now that we have that out of the way, we can get onto the glittery stuff. I loved...

Oooh, after a dismal episode last week (not the episode itself mind you, just the fact that for the life of me I couldn’t get past a severe case of writer’s block) I am back baby. I don’t know why last week’s episode did little to inspire me in the way of the pen, but it didn’t. Luckily that was then and this is now. The FlashForward I have come to know and love came back with a twist and turn of vengeance. Even the story lines and characters that usually make me want to hit the...

The seemingly undying trend of horror remakes continues and fails to make the cut, again. The latest horror icon to take the fall is Freddy Krueger. As a child of the eighties, Freddy and the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise was something I grew up with. Thus when I first heard that horror remake production company Platinum Dunes had secured the rights to my beloved ‘bastard son of a thousand maniacs’ I was immediately in full on fan boy fury, rage and abhorrence; ready to suit up in the Freddy costume, complete...

MPAA: Rated PG for rude humor, mild language, and brief smoking
Runtime: 92 minutes
Furry Vengeance is a little boring, fairly annoying, and stuffed to the gills with slapstick comedy and crotch abuse. Sounds like fun, huh? Even if you are a fan of low humor, you will still walk away unsatisfied from this flick. Movies like these should make us wonder, “Where do we draw the line for kid’s films?”
The general idea of the plot isn’t a terrible one. Dan Sanders (Brendan Fraser) is a doughy real...

Well, it’s official and the rumors were correct. Bill Condon is going to be the director of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. I will once again bring up my doubt on his skills to direct a movie of this type. Look at his experience. He is a great director, and he has the awards to prove it, but I believe that he has never directed a movie like this. Feel free to disagree with me. I may eat my words when the trailer comes out for the movie in probably a year. STILL no official word on whether Breaking Dawn...

Everyone should take a journey of self discovery at least once in their life. I haven’t been fortunate enough yet to experience the awe that comes with a trip like this, but it sure felt like I came close by following the travelling Jeff Johnson with 180° South.
180° South is a documentary film about Jeff Johnson, a young man from California, whose life aspirations are to climb to the top of Corcovado, located in Patagonia, which was pioneered by Yvon Chouinard, creator of Patagonia clothing and Doug Tompkins, creator...

Alright, we tried to warn you once about the craziness that is Foxy Shazam when we caught their performance down at SXSW. They have made their way to Lawrence, Kansas with Bad Rabbit opening for them. We couldn’t possibly try to describe them again for you, so please enjoy our video review with some footage from the show on April 26.

I have been a fan of Angels and Airwaves (aka AVA) since I heard their first single “The Adventure.” AVA’s first album We Don’t Need to Whisper came out in 2006, followed up with I-Empire, and they are now on their third album, Love, which is available for free on their home page. AVA is fronted by Tom DeLonge (formerly/currently of Blink-182, Box Car Racer) with David Kennedy (formerly of Box Car Racer), Adam Willard (formerly of Offspring), and Matt Wachter (formerly of 30 Seconds to Mars). To...

Today, the second trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse premiered on the Oprah show. Chicago got to see it first thing this morning and the Oprah show posted a high-quality version of the trailer on their website. I am going to guess that there will be at least one more trailer after this one since this trailer is about thirty seconds shorter than full trailers usually are.
This trailer is so much better than the first trailer. These trailers always start with an overhead view of the Forks forest. I am just going to...

I have a secret for which I am about to share. As well as being a huge fan of television I am also a major reader. It is not considered abnormal for me to start and finish 5 or 6 books a month, sometimes more. No that isn’t the secret. The secret is that sometimes when I get really into a story, and I am talking so engrossed that I stay up all night reading page after page that I can hardly bear to wait to finish, I will scan ahead just to find out if it is going where I think it is going. Because you see...
