Lost in Previews: Let Me In Teaser Trailer

Let Me In is the American remake of the Swedish film Let the Right One In.  The original film has a lot of fans, but I have yet to see it.  The basic storyline is that a boy is being bullied until he befriends a girl who turns out to be a vampire.  She becomes his protector.  Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road) plays Owen (Sweden’s Oskar) and Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) plays vampire Abby (Sweden’s Eli).   Richard Jenkins (The Visitor) also stars.  The international teaser debuted today and the trailer is pretty good.  I do not think that the music is quite right for the trailer.  For a teaser trailer, it also shows too much of the film. Let Me In is in theatres October 1, 2010.

I'm torn! I know I would love this trailer if I hadn't seen the original film, but since I did I'm just underwhelmed.

In my opinion the trailer was made for people who have already seen the original. I was assume most people have no idea the significance of the Morris code from that minute of film. The movie looks like it was filmed scene for scene from the original based on the trailer too… like maybe even on location? Which is intriguing because you don't find that most remakes. Something is different. We will see. I like Chloe Moretz, i'm anxious to see what she does with the role (and the rest of her career).

I agree with jdusel it seems as if it was filmed just like the original nothing changed but the actors. TRUTH the original was cool. I don't really think you need to americanize everything that was not originally made here. Sometimes what they bring to the table is good enough to eat and digest. If you want to see it Ryan I got the dvd holla. lol…

Yeah, no clue here as to what the Morse code was about.
