Lost in Previews: I Am Number Four

I had never heard I Am Number Four before today, but it has a pretty good trailer that certainly sparked my interest.  It is one of those vague trailers, but still get you interested as to what this movie is really about.  The official synopsis from the official site:

Three are dead.  Who is Number Four?  D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye, Disturbia) helms an action-packed thriller about an extraordinary teen, John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him.  Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Timothy Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past.  In a small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events–his first love (Dianna Argon), powerful new abilities and a connection to others who share his incredible destiny.

John is an extraordinary teen, masking his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to elude a deadly a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him.  Three like him have been killed . . . he is Number Four.

The only thing missing from the trailer is some Timothy Olyphant.  The movie also stars Kevin Durand and Teresa Palmer.

I Am Number Four is in theatres February 18, 2011.
