Lost in Previews: Sanctum

I just happened to be working on my backlog of Lost in Previews posts when the trailer for Sanctum popped up on Apple Trailers.  The movie is promoted as being from James Cameron even though he is only the executive producer.  The movie is supposedly based on true events of some cave explorers who all of sudden get into a tight spot when the cave decides to flood.  How do they get out?  Swim through the cave to the ocean.  I have a feeling that anyone who has a fear of drowning may not want to see this.  There are some really bad lines in this trailer and some over-acting.  The official synopsis:

The 3-D action-thriller Sanctum follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea. Master diver Frank McGuire has explored the South Pacific’s Esa-ala Caves for months. But when his exit is cut off in a flash flood, Frank’s team-including 17-year-old son Josh and financier Carl Hurley are forced to radically alter plans. With dwindling supplies, the crew must navigate an underwater labyrinth to make it out. Soon, they are confronted with the unavoidable question: Can they survive, or will they be trapped forever?

The movie stars Richard Roxburgh, Rhys Wakefield, Alice Parkinson, and IMDB seems to have left out that Ioan Gruffudd is in this also.

Thoughts?

Sanctum is out in theatres February 4, 2011 and in 3D.
