It was only a matter of time before someone in Hollywood decided it would be a good idea to make a show about remaking a popular British hit into an American show. In what will quite possibly be the roll that maybe doesn’t make us forget his role on Friends will definitely make it a dim memory. Matt LeBlanc stars as Matt LeBlanc in the upcoming BBC/Showtime satrical comedy Episodes. Episodes is a show about a couple who are asked to remake their popular show into an American version. Normally, I am skeptical on any show that is based on a foreign show (if someone in Hollywood ever decides to reimagine Degrassi as an American show I will be the first one in the picket line) but after watching the promo I am cautiously optimistic that maybe, just maybe another hit is about to be born.
Episodes premieres on Showtime on 01/09/2010 and also stars Richard Griffiths (known mostly from the Harry Potter movies), John Pankow (Mad About You), Tamsin Greig, and Stephen Mangan.
