Lost in Previews TV Edition: SyFy’s Being Human

A recurring theme is emerging this upcoming spring; BBC shows re-imagined as American versions, because yet another show is coming from across the pond.  This time in the form of a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost all live together while trying to figure out their place in this wacky topsy turvy world we live in.  While I did enjoy the original version I can’t say that I am so attached to it that it pains me to give this one a chance.  In fact even with out prior knowledge of the show or without seeing the 30 second promo I’m not planning on missing this show.  If there is any one who understands putting a new spin on a show that is reimagined its the people over at SyFy.   It doesn’t hurt that the series is being developed by Jeremy Carver a former writer for the CW’s Supernatural and Anna Frickle from the cancelled too soon Privileged. Boasting a fangirl’s dream cast also helps sweeten the pot.  The new SyFy show stars Sam Witwer (Smallville, BSG) Meaghan Rath (The Assistants), Sam Huntington (Fanboys, Superman Returns), and Mark Pellegrino (Lost, Supernatural).

Being Human premieres on January 17, 2011 at 9pm.

Until next time,
