Admittedly, the first preview introduced by HBO doesn’t give their new medieval fantasy series much justice. In fact if you don’t have HBO or follow entertainment news there is a good chance you had no idea this show was even being made. HBO’s official synopsis is:
Summer spans decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust, and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom of the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all will play the “Game of Thrones.”
Which let’s face it doesn’t tell us much of anything. Luckily HBO has premiered an extended version of the preview along with interviews from some of the stars of Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones premieres April 2011.
Until next time,
Mendie
