The Lincoln Lawyer is a film about a well-known lawyer that takes on a case that turns out to be more complex than it first seems. The movie reminds me of a really great Law and Order episode and Primal Fear combined. Matthew McConaughey plays the title character and Ryan Phillippe plays the accused man. The film is based on the book by Michael Connelly. Marisa Tomei, William H. Macy, Josh Lucas, Laurence Mason, Frances Fisher, John Leguizamo, Michael Pena, Margarita Levieva, Bob Gunton, Reggie Baker, Mackenzie Aladjem, Michaela Conlin, Bryan Cranston, and Michael Pare also costar. Official Synopsis:
Mickey Haller (Matthew McConaughey) is a Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Haller has spent most of his career defending garden-variety criminals, until he lands the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet (Ryan Phillippe), a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward case suddenly develops into a deadly game of survival for Haller.
The Lincoln Lawyer is in theatres March 18, 2011.
