Lost in Previews: Water for Elephants International Trailer

I usually don’t put up international trailers, but this is very good exception.  The international trailer for Water for Elephants may even be better than the first domestic trailer.  I love the song that is used which is by Barcelona and called “Please Don’t Go.”  There are even some more scenes added that added some more drama to the trailer.  I might actually have to read this book now.

Robert Pattinson plays the main character, Jacob.  Reese Witherspoon plays the love interest, Marlena, and Christoph Waltz plays the bad guy, August.  There is indeed an elephant in this movie.  In real life, she is an Asian elephant who is named Tai.  James Frain plays her caretaker in the movie.  Hal Holbrook plays older Jacob.  Francis Lawrence directs the adaptation.  He most recently directed Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” video.  Official Synopsis:

Based on the acclaimed bestseller, WATER FOR ELEPHANTS presents an unexpected romance in a uniquely compelling setting. Veterinary school student Jacob meets and falls in love with Marlena, a star performer in a circus of a bygone era. They discover beauty amidst the world of the Big Top, and come together through their compassion for a special elephant. Against all odds — including the wrath of Marlena’s charismatic but dangerous husband, August — Jacob and Marlena find lifelong love.

Water for Elephants is in theatres April 15, 2011.

P.S. The cast and crew were doing re-shoots this week.  Hmmmm.
