Lost in Previews TV Edition: The Borgias

Sometimes to tell a great story all you have to do is look to the past.  In 1492, Rodrigo Borgia was elected Pope and so began an era of crime and corruption attributed to Alexander VI and his family.  And now Showtime is bringing their story to the small screen in the new show starring Jeremy Irons, Davis Oakes, Francois Arnaud, Holliday Grainger, Aidan Alexander, Joanne Whalley, Derek Jacobi, and Colm Feore.  The official synopsis:

The Borgias is a complex, unvarnished portrait of one of history’s most intriguing and infamous dynastic families. The series begins as Rodrigo schemes his way into the position of Pope, causing him, his two Machiavellian sons Cesare and Juan, and his scandalously beautiful daughter Lucrezia, to become the most powerful and influential family of the Italian Renaissance.

The Borgias premieres on Showtime Sunday April 3rd at 9pm Eastern Time.

Until next time,
