The X-Men: First Class trailer is upon us, and I am really excited. Although I never read the comics or watched the cartoon, I have been in love with the movies since I saw the first X-Men movie. I will concede that the last X-Men movie was weak, but I was one of the few that liked Wolverine. Considering Bryan Singer came up with the story for First Class and Matthew Vaughn is directing, I am hoping this turns out to be a really good movie.
The great cast includes James McAvoy (Professor Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Rose Byrne (Dr. Moira MacTaggert), January Jones (Emma Frost), Oliver Platt (Man in Black), Kevin Bacon (Sebastian Shaw), Zoe Kravitz (Angel Salvadore), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshy) , Lucas Till (Havoc), Edi Gathegi (Darwin), Ray Wise (Secretary of State), and Jason Flemyng (Azazel). Official Synopsis:
X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
X-Men: First Class is in theatres June 3, 2011
