SXSW: Hobo With a Shotgun a Midnighter

Hobo With a Shotgun will be a part of this year’s SXSW Midnighters selection. As of now, it is scheduled to play March 15, and 16. This comes as no surprise as the film’s trailer was a part of the Grindhouse Trailers Competition in 2007. With the addition of Hobo With a Shotgun this year’s SXSW is sounding stronger and stronger everyday. See what other films are playing at SXSW here. Hobo With a Shotgun was written by John Davies and directed by Jason Eisener, and stars Rutger Hauer as Hobo, Molly Dunsworth as Abby, Brian Downey as Drake and Gregory Smith as Slick.

Movie synopsis: A vigilante homeless man pulls into a new city and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city’s crime boss reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes and even a pedophile Santa, the Hobo goes about bringing justice to the city the best way he knows how – with a 20-gauge shotgun. Mayhem ensues when he tries to make things better for the future generation. Street justice will indeed prevail.
