Lost in Previews: 96 Minutes

96 Minutes was a favorite of mine at SXSW 2011.  There finally is a trailer for the film that has debuted on the film’s official page.  I was lucky enough to be able to interview the cast and review 96 Minutes.  The star of this film will be Evan Ross, who has already picked up an award at SXSW.  The film also stars Brittany Snow, Christian Serratos, David Oyelowo, and Jonathan Michael Trautmann.  Ever since meeting David Oyelowo at the interview, I have seen him in lots of projects.  His next up is Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

96 Minutes‘ international rights were acquired by Content Film who will be selling the film at Cannes.  Hopefully, there will be some good news for the film once Cannes is over.  Official Synopsis:

Inspired by true events, 96 MINUTES is the harrowing story of 4 kids and one terrifying night. The events of the night unfold in real time as we intercut between a carjacking and the beginning of that day, following four separate kids – who they are, where they come from, and the seemingly innocuous decisions that lead them towards a terrifying and life changing conclusion. With no adults to guide them, they’re left on their own to try to survive not only this night, but the shocking reality of the world they live in.

96 Minutes Trailer — You need to go the official website to view the trailer.  As soon as I can get an embeddable trailer, I will post it here.  (And you might as well check out the reviews section where a quote from yours truly appears–one day I will get quoted in a trailer and my life will be complete. :))
