Another Earth won Sundance 2011, and it was a secret screening at SXSW 2011. You would think that with the subject matter, this would be a big budget movie, but that is not the case. The film focuses mostly on Rhoda Williams and her relationship with John Burroughs after their worlds collide. The supernatural element of it all is that a second Earth appears. Another Earth stars William Mapother, Brit Marling, Jordan Baker, Robin Lord Taylor, and Flint Beverage.

A brilliant composer, John Burroughs (William Mapother), has just reached the pinnacle of his profession and is about to have a second child. On the eve of the discovery of a duplicate Earth, tragedy strikes and the lives of these strangers become irrevocably intertwined.”
Another Earth is in theatres July 22, 2011.
