As if Liam Neeson could not kick any more ass, here comes The Grey. Liam Neeson plays an oil rig worker whose plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness along with the rest of his coworkers. This is basically one of those films where people end up in the middle of nowhere and have to fight to survive. There are some wild animals to contend with in this version. They meet a pack of wolves. I have to say that they look like Wolf Pack from Twilight, so hopefully one of them won’t morph into Taylor Lautner mid-scene. The film also stars Dermot Mulroney, James Badge Dale, Joe Anderson (there’s the bonafide Twilight connection), Frank Grillo, Nonso Anozie, and Dallas Roberts.
Neat fact: The film is based on short ghost story called Ghost Walker by Ian Mackenzie Jeffers.
The Grey is in theatres January 12, 2012.
