Lost in Previews: Snow White and the Huntsman

This has to be one of the trailers that I was most excited to see.  Snow White and the Huntsman stars Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth as the Snow White, the Evil Queen, and the Huntsman.  This looks to be an absolutely fantastic, dark action story based on the classic fairy tale.  Charlize Theron gets the most screen time in the trailer and some of the visuals of her are astounding.  The mirror looks really creepy.  Chris Hemsworth looks like he will be kicking some ass in the film.  We see Kristen Stewart in the trailer, but she does not speak, so just based on her look and her costumes, she looks bad ass.  I reserve the right to take back that comment when I see her speak some lines.  There is also a new banner art and a new poster which shows the Seven Dwarves (Ian McShane, Nick Frost, Toby Jones, Ray Winstone, Eddie Marsan, Bob Hoskins) standing behind Snow White.

Anyone else recognize as soon as the trailer starts that they are using Tron Legacy music?  Way to go Daft Punk!

And you can rest assured that this trailer will definitely be playing in front of Breaking Dawn.  Possibly even in front of Immortals on Friday.

“In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.”

Snow White and the Huntsman is in theatres June 1, 2012.
