Lost in Previews: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 8 Minute Trailer

A few months ago, there was an eight minute sizzle reel aka really long trailer for David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo that ran before some advanced screenings for films.  That eight minute trailer was cut down to make the last full trailer, which is long in and of itself at over three minutes.  The full eight minute trailer was released today along with a preview of the score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.  You can head to iTunes to preview the tracks and pre-order the score.

The trailer itself is pretty damn good and gives a really good look at the film.  Do not watch the trailer if you are reading the book or want to be surprised about what happens in the film.  It gives a lot of the plot away.

“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first film in Columbia Pictures’ three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s literary blockbuster The Millennium Trilogy. Directed by David Fincher and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, the film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon. The screenplay is by Steven Zaillian.”

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is in theatres December 21, 2011.
