Considering Ridley Scott is the director of the film and the first Alien film, it was not a stretch. Skip to article in Entertainment Weekly a month or more ago about Prometheus. The interviews with the actors and Ridley Scott only hinted at an Alien connection and the mentions about Alien were vague at best. This is the teaser for the film. It is very much a teaser as it is not very long, and you have no idea what the plot is other than it occurs in space and something otherworldly is possibly trying to kill the cast. That cast includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Charlize Theron. Damon Lindelof (Lost) and John Spaihts wrote the script.
“Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.”
Prometheus is in theatres June 8, 2012.
