I have now seen David Fincher’s version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo twice. The most astonishing and utterly creative thing about the film is the opening credits. It is not expected after you see the opening scene for the film to be blasted with this visually stunning sequence set to “Immigrant Song” by Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Karen O. Io9.com has the entire opening credits scene in its entirety as well as a making-of video. There is also an interview with Tim Miller of Blur Studio about the sequence. If you have read the entire Millennium trilogy, then it is fairly obvious that there are images in the credits that allude to the next two books/films.
Head on over to Io9.com to read the interview and watch the opening credits, which are at the bottom of the page. Trust me, you want to see it. I also embedded the sequence below.
And if you have not seen The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo yet, what are you waiting for?!
