Bruce Springsteen Will Play SXSW!

There is no need for speculation as to whether “The Boss” will perform at this year’s SXSW. According to the official SXSW website Bruce Springsteen will play one “intimate” show at a yet to be announced venue. This time around you won’t have to spend the entire day waiting in line to attend the high-profile showcase. Instead SXSW is asking all pre-registered music attendees to sign up for a random drawing at the main conference center. I have to admit that I like how they are going about this, that way one show won’t take the spotlight from other showcasing artists on March 15th. Everyone approved to attend will know before the doors to the venue even open. Check out the details from the SXSW website below:

SXSW News:

SXSW is extremely excited to announce that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be playing a special show in an intimate venue for SXSW attendees on Thursday evening, March 15th. To determine who will be admitted to this show, SXSW will conduct a ticket drawing.

The following SXSW credentials are eligible to enter this drawing: Platinum Badge Holders, Music Badge Holders, Artist Wristband Holders, and those SXSW Music Wristband Holders who have already obtained their wristbands online (any wristbands sold during the week of SXSW will not be eligible). No other credentials are eligible to enter the drawing.

From Monday, March 12th through Wednesday, March 14th, eligible badge and wristband holders can go to any of the four Connection Centers in the Austin Convention Center to enter the drawing. Badges and wristbands will have their RFID tags scanned to enter each person into a random drawing.

After entry in the drawing ends on March 14th, the individual winners will be sent an email with further instructions at 10am on Thursday, March 15th. Those who are not selected will also be notified by email at this time. Winners will be instructed where to go to obtain their tickets for the show.
