Jeff, Who Lives At Home feels like a mid-life crisis kind of movie to me. Both brothers (Jason Segel and Ed Helms) are at a point in their lives where they need to do something with them. Ed Helms’ character buys a Porsche and sees that his wife may be cheating on him. Jason Segel’s character is still living in the basement of his mom’s house (Susan Sarandon) and does not have a job. Judy Greer plays Ed Helms’ wife. This looks to be nice comedic indie by the directors and writers of Cyrus, Jay and Mark Duplass.
“On his way to the store to buy wood glue, Jeff looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. Jeff just may find the meaning of his life… and if he’s lucky, pick up the wood glue as well.”
Jeff, Who Lives At Home is in theatres March 16, 2012.
