Poster and Trailer for “Seeking a Friend for the End of the World”

When I first saw this poster for Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, I thought is that really Keira Knightley with Steve Carell?  That is an odd pairing.  The film is labeled on Yahoo! Movies as a romance and a comedy, and it is rated R.  I don’t think I have ever seen Keira Knightley in a comedy.  This could end up being a good flick if the chemistry is right.  I am assuming we will be getting a trailer any day now.

Update: As I was about to publish this post on the poster (that’s too many Ps), I noticed the trailer also just popped up.  Either that or it has been online for a very long time and I was just not paying any attention.  What would the world be like if you knew everyone was going to die?  I would probably track down some hot guy I have had a crush on for a long time . . . but enough about me.  Enjoy the trailer and the poster.  The film also stars Melanie Lynskey, Patton Oswalt, Adam Brody, Connie Britton, William Peterson, and Rob Corddry.

“Set in a too-near future, a man searches for a meaningful connection as humanity’s last days are at hand. Can he find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge and Penny converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.”

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is in theatres June 22, 2012.
