Suggested Sounds: “F**k The Beach” by Team Spirit

Every once in a while there is a band that comes around that makes you think, “HOLY SHIT! WHO ARE THESE GUYS?” You anxiously rush around trying to find more music from “that artist” and you’re not satisfied until you have heard and have it all. Well, the newly formed Team Spirit is one of those bands and more. Their sound is refreshingly “rock”, just balls to the wall “rock!” If I dare say it, Team Spirit reminds me a bit of The Ramones. There, I said it now listen for yourself. I have to warn you though, the music video for “Fuck The Beach” is not safe for work and I have to admit I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Beautifully Animated Video Features The Band Plowing Into a Gigantic Psychedelic Vagina

Team Spirit is the latest project from Ayad Al-Adhamy, the synth and samples dude from Passion Pit. Their new single “F**k The Beach” is a crunchy power-pop shit kicker. The animated video, directed by Johannes Helgelin and Hannes Elltorp, finds the band trudging through a beachside psychedelic hellscape, complete with cartoon breasts, psychotropic ice cream, and the band plowing into a gigantic sloppy vagina. Needless to say if you don’t work at VICE this could be considered NSFW. But seriously think Heavy Metal meets Yellow Submarine on PCP.
