The IFC Crossroads House Returns to SXSW!

One of the best places to visit during SXSW returns in 2012! Though The IFC Crossroads House will be at a new location inside VICE Bar a on 302 E. 6th Street, it will still be the place to be for anyone attending this year’s SXSW. The IFC Crossroads House is back at SXSW! 

Featuring exclusive live sneak peeks of the new IFC comedy series

Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk premiering June 2012

New location inside VICE Bar at 302 E. 6th Street

Open during Film and Interactive – Monday, March 12 through Tuesday, March 13 from 3pm-10pm

Open during Music – Wednesday, March 14 through Friday, March 16

from 5pm-1am – Official SXSW Showcase Venue

 

IFC is back on the ground at SXSW for the third consecutive year bringing both fans attending the festival and those at home the full SXSW experience! Located inside the historic VICE Bar in the heart of downtown Austinon 6th Street and San Jacinto, the IFC Crossroads House will showcase live comedy events and exclusive music showcases along with DJ sets, happy hours and lounge spaces for festival goers to relax and escape the heat. 

In addition, IFC.com will be premiering exclusive content throughout the run of the festival including musical performances, interviews with celebrity guests and red carpet coverage of all the action in Austin.  Check outIFC.com/SXSW for the latest coverage.

Day Events: Take a break at the popcorn bar and candy bank sponsored by freecreditscore.com and experience the best of tech and gaming in the Time Warner Cable “Enjoy Better” lounge. In addition, Time Warner Cable will be providing free wi-fi in the IFC Crossroads House during all house hours. There will also be a chance to enter to win a free Ernie Ball Music Man Sterling bass guitar.

8-10pm- IFC presents Comedy Bang! Bang!

Host Scott Aukerman, band leader Reggie Watts and special celebrity guests give fans a live sneak peek at their new scripted talk show Comedy Bang! Bang! premiering June 2012 on IFC.

 

Tuesday, March 13- House Open 3-10pm

8-10pm- IFC presents Bunk

Comedian Kurt Braunohler hosts a sneak peek at a live version of IFC’s new improv comedy game show,Bunk, premiering June 2012. Celebrity contestants will participate in a variety of inane challenges each competing for a non-charitable cause of their choice. 

 

Wednesday, March 14- House Open 5pm-1am 

Special Events:

5pm- 7pm: IFC Happy Hour

7pm-1am: SXSW Showcase

Headliner: Built to Spill. Other performances by Youth Lagoon, Brett Netson Band, Finn Riggins, Le Fleur and Hillfolk Noir.
