Lost in Previews: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Trailer 2 and Featurette

The second trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has made its way online.  It is not a very high quality version of the trailer, so I will update the video if it becomes available.  The trailer reveals more of the story and there is actual conversation in the trailer along with a better look at at least two of the actors (Rufus Sewell and Dominic Cooper).  I am also including a featurette that has interviews with the producers, director, and cast.  You can see some behind the scenes shots in it as well.  The film is an interesting concept based on an equally interesting book.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is based on the book of the same name by Seth Grahame-King.  It is one of those odd, reimagined stories that is in the same category as Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies (which has stalled in pre-production for its film adaptation).   Grahame-King wrote the screenplay along with Simon Kinberg (Sherlock HolmesMr. & Mrs. Smith).  The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov who also directed Wanted.   Benjamin Walker plays Abraham Lincoln.  Benjamin is a relative newcomer who recently won acclaim playing another president, Andrew Jackson, in the play, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, both on and off Broadway.  Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell, and Marton Csokas join Benjamin in the cast.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is in theatres June 22, 2012.
