SXSW Film: Electrick Children

When Rachel claims to have been immaculately concepted by music, her fundamentalist parents don’t believe her but arrange a marriage for her in their community in Utah. The fifteen year old girl runs away to the nearest town, Las Vegas and begins a search for the voice on the tape, thinking that it must be the father to her child. What she finds instead is a group of young hooligans that live the complete opposite lifestyle from her, but take her in regardless. She grows and learns about a new culture so fast that her head spins. It’s an inspiring story that will pull at your heart strings and test the limits of your skepticism. Here is our video review of Electrick Children. Let us know what you thought of the film.
