A Haunting Cover of Radiohead’s Creep

There have been many who have tried before to emulate the greatness that is Radiohead and many have failed. I may have finally found someone who has the soul in her voice to match that of Thom Yorke’s. Her name is Carrie Manolakos and she also has an album available for purchase, Echo. Here is a link to her site http://www.carriemanolakos.com/store Please watch this video below to watch Carrie perform Radiohead’s “Creep” and try not to tear up.

Press Release:

Carrie Manolakos  became an internet sensation with her haunting performance of Radiohead’s Creep. The viral video was captured on April 2, 2012, at her album release concert in New York City, at Le Poisson Rogue. Days later it was picked up by a journalist at the popular website Gawker, who promised readers an orgasm for the ears.

Manolakos has a background in musical theater, with Broadway credits, including the lead role in Mamma Mia – but her debut album, Echo, is a lyrical blend of folk, pop and soul. Her sound dances among the stars of Adele and Joni Mitchell, with a kiss blown to Jeff Buckley, but a voice that is unmistakably hers alone.

She is attached to star in an upcoming independent film.
