Lost in Previews: Won’t Back Down

Won’t Back Down revolves around the inner city educational system and what two mothers do to try to make education better for their kids and those around them.  Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis portray the main characters in this film.  It also stars Holly Hunter, Ving Rhames, Oscar Isaac, Rosie Perez, and Lance Reddick.  There have been quite a few prominent documentaries and news stories about this very subject, so I am sure that this film will continue the dialogue on the subject.

“Two determined mothers, one a teacher, look to transform their children’s failing inner city school. Facing a powerful and entrenched bureaucracy, they risk everything to make a difference in the education and future of their children.”

Won’t Back Down is in theatres September 28, 2012.
