2012. The summer of… metal? Nope. The summer of fantastic indie rock shows in Kansas City. A slew of incredible bands have all announced shows in Lawrence and Kansas City over the past couple of days, including Beach House, Sleigh Bells, Florence & The Machine, and a two night stay in Lawrence’s Liberty Hall by The Flaming Lips! Either has yet to be detailed yet, but with me being a massive Flaming Lips fan, my guess is that one night will be a Dark Side Of The Moon night, and the other a Soft Bulletin night. Meaning both nights, the band will perform each of those respective albums in their entireties. Neither of which are to be missed.
