Lost in Previews: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Trailer 3

This is the third green band trailer for the upcoming Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  I first saw this trailer in front of Snow White and the Huntsman, and I found it to be the best trailer so far that explains the plot.  The others were more flashy and introducing you to the concept of this film.  I am just curious as to how many people are actually excited and want to see this film.  I want to see it, but if the early reviews are bad, then I will probably wait until DVD.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is based on the book of the same name by Seth Grahame-King.  It is one of those odd, reimagined stories that is in the same category as Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies (which has stalled in pre-production for its film adaptation).   Grahame-King wrote the screenplay along with Simon Kinberg (Sherlock HolmesMr. & Mrs. Smith).  The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov who also directed Wanted.   Benjamin Walker plays Abraham Lincoln.  Benjamin is a relative newcomer who recently won acclaim playing another president, Andrew Jackson, in the play, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, both on and off Broadway.  Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell, and Marton Csokas join Benjamin in the cast.

“Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov reinvent the time-honored genre and present the terrifying creatures of the night as they were meant to be experienced — as fierce, visceral, intense and bloodthirsty. ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER brings to the screen the secret life of our nation’s favorite president . . . as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.”

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is in theatres June 22, 2012.
