The Dark Knight Rises soundtrack announced!

One of the best aspects of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, in my opinion, is the amazing musical scores that have been provided by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. Listening to the Batman Begins soundtrack straight into the The Dark Knight soundtrack, you can literally hear the evolution of Bruce Wayne/Batman. This time around, it appears Hans Zimmer is scoring solo, though. But honestly, judging from his phenomenal score for Inception, I don’t think Zimmer will have any problems carrying the weight all himself. I’m unbelievably excited about this release. Look at that cover! Fantastic! And I’m gettin’ goosebumps over here just checking out these track titles. I’m having the feeling that the last track “Rise” may be as huge and epic as “Time” was for the Inception score. Maybe this time around Hans Zimmer can FINALLY get that Oscar nom for his work on the Dark Knight Trilogy that he has yet to be given.

The Dark Knight Rises: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on July 17.
