So I’m a huuuuge MUTEMATH fan. Their self titled debut album is one of my favorite albums of all time. I’ve seen them live 6 times now and they never disappoint. The band’s last tour, which you can read about HERE, was an epic show of epic proportions, using 3d Projection technology, air mattresses, and a rolling B-Stage. I’m really excited to see what they do for this fall tour. And while I’ve never been a huge fan of Civil Twilight, it’s safe to say that they’ve acquired quite the fan-base as well. It should be a great tour, and if it’s coming to your town, I heavily urge you to go!
Civil Twilight is quickly becoming a name instantly recognizable in music. Known for sweeping harmonies paired with chilling falsetto lyrics and the lyrical prowess of Steven McKellar that poignantly depicts the various intricacies of the human condition, all it takes is one listen to leave an impression. In March of this year Civil Twilight released their sophomore album, Holy Weather, and has been touring relentlessly with the likes of Young the Giant, Shiny Toy Guns and Carbonleaf while sharing festival stages with everyone from The Dave Matthews Band to The Flaming Lips. This September, they will be hitting the road with Mutemath right after a very special performance in Vancouver with Keane.
