Lost in Reviews had the pleasure of sitting down with actresses Ari Graynor and Lauren Miller and director Jamie Travis in support of their new comedy, For a Good Time, Call . . . . If you haven’t heard, it is a cute little comedy about frenemies turned best friends that start up their own phone sex line. The film is barely autobiographical as Lauren Miller and friend Katie Anne Nylon wrote the screenplay somewhat based on their friendship and Katie’s own experience working for a phone sex line. This is a small budget film that screened at Sundance this year and was picked up by Focus Features. That is HUGE in my opinion because Focus does not have a bad film in their collection.
Watch me stutter my words while trying to come up with brilliant questions! Ha! But seriously, it was great to meet these three people. I had to ask Ari Graynor about Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist and the gross bubblegum scene.
For a Good Time, Call . . . is in theatres in a limited release on August 31, 2o12.
