Mark Margolis cast in Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH

If you’re a fan of Darren Aronofsky’s films, then this won’t be too big of a surprise to you. But it’s still a neat little confirmation. Margolis, who is now hugely popular for his awesome portrayal of the stroked out -bell ringing Hector “Tio” Salamanca in the greatest TV show ever made, Breaking Bad, has appeared in every single one of Aronosky’s films so far. It’s nice to see he’s cast as an actual character this time around, as opposed to being reduced to a one second-blink and you miss it cameo, like his appearance in Black Swan.

Actor Mark Margolis has been tapped to join the cast of Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH.  Margolis is set to play the character Samyaza in the film, which stars Russell Crowe, Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly and Sir Anthony Hopkins.  Margolis set straight off for Iceland, where NOAH is shooting, immediately after getting the news.
Mark Margolis recently received an Emmy Nomination for his role as Hector “Tio” Salamanca on AMC’s hit Breaking Bad.  He has the distinction of having worked on four of Darren Aronofsky’s films, starting with PI back in 1998, and including REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, THE WRESTLER and BLACK SWAN.
And for good measure, here’s a picture of Russel Crowe playing, yeah, Noah!
