I believe that most people really enjoyed David Fincher’s version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I read the books and saw the Swedish films. When the American version came out, I was as equally impressed with it as I was with the Swedish takes on the novel. I ended up seeing it a couple of times. It is a long film, but definitely worth seeing. It did not make a lot of money in the US,though I expected it to make more just because of the buzz leading up to it. The next obvious question is when is the film adaptation of The Girl Who Played with Fire coming out?
Well, according to EW, not anytime in 2013. Steven Zaillian, who wrote the screenplay for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is still working on the script for the The Girl Who Played with Fire. No director has been chosen for this one, but David Fincher is still the top pick. There is no date for the film to go into production, and clearly there is no release date either. Both Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are set to reprise their characters. It is certain that this film will be made. Thank you, Sony!
If it takes this long to make the second film, why not just make the next two back to back?
