Lost in Previews: Citadel

Citadel played at SXSW this past March in the Midnighter category.  It actually ended up winning the Audience Award for the Midnighter category, so I think that is enough of a stamp of approval for most people to check it out.  It is definitely in the horror/thriller category.  I am a big fan of Aneurin Barnard and was able to interview him for another film he had at SXSW, Hunky Dory.  He is a really great singer, but you won’t see any of that in this film.  The cast includes Aneurin Barnard, James Cosmo, Wunmi Mosaku, Jake Wilson, Ingrid Craigie, and Amy Shiels.  Ciarán Foy wrote the screenplay and directed the film.

I feel like it is horror day for Lost in Previews today.  Is this something you fans would like to check out?

“An agoraphobic single father teams up with a vigilante priest to save his daughter from the clutches of a gang of twisted feral children.”

Citadel is in theatres October 19, 2012.
