Last year, Lost in Reviews was invited to cover the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 fan event in Dallas, Texas. We met and interviewed Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Charlie Bewley, and Ashley Greene. This year there was no fan event for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, but Dallas did get a member of the Cullen coven, Kellan Lutz. He has played Emmett Cullen since 2008 when the first Twilight hit. We were part of a small press conference with only six journalists.
I always thought of Kellan Lutz as one of the more gracious actors of the Twilight Saga. He always seems more than willing to do just about anything for the fans. In the interview Kellan touched on a number of things. He discussed the journey that he has taken with these films and he is more than willing to make Shooting Stars, his name for the imaginary book Stephenie Meyer could write. He is grateful for his role in these films. He will gladly play a vampire again and again. He discusses the infamous fan interaction while shooting the first Twilight when a woman handed Kellan and Nikki Reed her baby and then disappeared for way too long. He also talks about signing items for fans and how some end up as tattoos on fan’s bodies. He touches on his upcoming Tarzan film which is motion capture. He demonstrates how he had to walk for the role and my videographer Jessica tried to keep him in the video.
It was a fun interview and we were happy to be a part of it.
