Warm Bodies has been on my radar for a while. I read the book before it was announced that it would become a film. There really has not been much of any news on this film until recently. Only a few images surfaces after filming completed. The first poster for the film was just released recently, and the first two trailers are out today. Considering this is a February release, I would think this would have come out earlier, or at least a teaser trailer. The first is the domestic trailer and is the longer of the two. The second trailer is the international one and is a bit shorter. I am pleased with what I see. The book really is not comedic, so I am somewhat surprised with how this is being portrayed. I am okay with comedy route right now, and it looks to be keeping the story intact. The trailer will be running in front of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 and this makes sense because this is a Summit film as well.
Warm Bodies stars Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Dave Franco, Lizzy Caplan, Cory Hardrict, and Rob Coddry. It is based on the novel of the same name by Isaac Marion. Jonathan Levine wrote and directed the film.
“A funny new twist on a classic love story, WARM BODIES is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human – setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.”
Warm Bodies is in theatres February 1, 2013.
