Lost in Previews: ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’ Trailer 2

There has been a major shift in information for Jack the Giant Slayer.  It used to be called Jack the Giant Killer and was originally supposed to come out June 15, 2012.  The first trailer for the film came out in December 2011.  Could this be a sign that this flick isn’t so good?

This film has heavy CGI.  If you did not know anything about the film, you would think this was an animated film until Ewan McGregor pops up.   The film is a take on the fairy tale, Jack and the Beanstalk.  The film stars Nicholas Hoult, Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson, Eddie Marsan, and Ewan McGregor.  X-Men director Bryan Singer directed.

Jack the Giant Slayer tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult) into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend–and gets the chance to become a legend himself.”

Jack the Giant Slayer is in theatres March 1, 2013.
