Lost in Previews: Into the White

Into the White PosterInto the White is set during World War II.  Two planes crash in a wintered land.  The crew from both planes happen upon a hunting cabin, their only solace against the biting cold.  The problem is that half of them are Germans and the other half are British.  While they all fight to survive, a war in a small hunting cabin breaks out between these enemies.

The film stars Rupert Grint (Harry Potter), David Kross (The Reader), Stig Henrik Hoff, Florian Lukas, and Lachlan Nieboer.  Ole Meldgaard, Petter Næss, and Dave Mango wrote the screenplay and Petter Næss directed the film.

“At the beginning of World War II, a hostile chance encounter in the skies above the harsh Norwegian wilderness leaves two aircraft—one British, one German—shot down in a remote and isolated region. By strange coincidence, the crews seek shelter in the same cabin. They must battle to survive the brutal winter in order to get back to the war—and to fighting one another. Although war has made them enemies, as the days go by, animosity proves hard to maintain. Mutual need leads to unlikely friendships, and the rules of war must be put aside.”

Into the White is in theatres April 12, 2013 and is on iTunes on March 7, 2013.
