Lost In Previews: GRAVITY

459808_516815045065047_723077527_oI’ve been following Alfonso Cuarón’s new film Gravity for quite some time, and was pretty dismayed when it was delayed from it’s scheduled fall 2012 release to fall 2013. Although, with a little patience, the wait is finally coming to an end. There are several reasons why this film will be great: George Clooney returning to his first Sci-Fi project since the Solaris remake; I’m just an absolute sucker for Outer Space; Alfonso Cuarón.

Judging from this brief teaser trailer alone, this film is going to be worth every second. The trailer is just BEGGING to be played on IMAX screens, so hopefully this is attached to the IMAX screenings of next week’s Star Trek Into Darkness. Everything on screen resembles Cuarón’s style to a “T”, but feels like it notches it up even higher. I don’t want to spoil anything that happens in that trailer, because I want everyone to view it, mouth agape, like I did. I’ll say this though, the single last shot of it, is probably the most terrifying image that I’ll personally see on the big screen all year. So crank up the HD, full screen this beast, and enjoy!

Gravity stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, and is scheduled for release on October 4, 2013 in 3D and IMAX 3D.
