Jeff, Who Lives At Home feels like a mid-life crisis kind of movie to me. Both brothers (Jason Segel and Ed Helms) are at a point in their lives where they need to do something with them. Ed Helms’ character buys a Porsche and sees that his wife may be cheating on him. Jason Segel’s character is still living in the basement of his mom’s house (Susan Sarandon) and does not have a job. Judy Greer plays Ed Helms’ wife. This looks to be nice comedic indie by the directors and writers of Cyrus, Jay...

These two trailers for Project X show you basically the most insane high school party you have ever seen. At the center of it are three teens who are not that popular, but given that one’s parents are out of town, decide to throw a party that gets a little out of hand. The film is really pushing that Todd Phillips, the director of The Hangover, is a producer of this film. It looks to be an insane film, but we shall see if it appeals to more than the high school crowd. The film stars Thomas Mann, Oliver Cooper,...

If you are afraid of flying, do not watch this trailer. 7500 is about a doomed flight to Tokyo that encounters something supernatural in the air. This is a pretty good trailer and I am impressed with the amount of recognizable actors in the film. The film stars Ryan Kwanten, Leslie Bibb, Nicky Whelan, Jerry Ferrera, Christian Serratos, Jamie Chung, and Amy Smart and is directed by Takashi Shimzu (The Grudge). I can pretty much guarantee that if you see The Woman in Black, this trailer will run before it.
“7500...

Below is the new poster for Intruders. The film stars Clive Owen, Carice Van Houten, Pilar Lopez De Ayala, Daniel Bruhl, Kerry Fox, Ella Purnell, and Hector Alterio. The film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later).
“Though no one can see him, Hollow Face lurks in the corners, desperately desiring love but only knowing how to spread fear and hate. He creeps into the life of John Farrow (Clive Owen) after Farrow’s beloved 13-year-old daughter Mia (Ella Purnell) is assaulted in their home. The line...

Silent House is horror/thriller film starring Elizabeth Olsen. It is a very unique film as it is in real time and is filmed to look like it was done in one take. It looks as though Olsen’s character’s dad is killed and then she is hunted by whatever did that in the house. Is it a ghost or a real person? I am intrigued just because of how this film was shot.
“From the directors of the hit film “Open Water,” SILENT HOUSE is a uniquely unsettling horror thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen as Sarah,...

This is the third trailer for The Hunger Games which is due out next month, and is expected to be next movie franchise to rise to Twilight levels. I find it odd that they cut a trailer that is only a few seconds over one minute. I would have expected a longer trailer, but there is a chance that this may be a trailer that runs during the Super Bowl. I do not know if Lionsgate would shell out that much cash for a sure thing (Update: It will air during the pre-show, not during the game). In any case, people are super excited...

I do not think I ever watched the trailer for GI Joe: Retaliation until now, and I have to say that I am impressed. It is a really good trailer, and I dig the techno version of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” used in it. It looks to have some good action and stunts. I never saw the first GI Joe, but I heard it was pretty bad. It looks like no one from the first one is back (correct me if I am wrong) except for Channing Tatum who gets killed off in the beginning. What I had to laugh at is the...

Finding North is a new documentary about the people who go hungry right here in America on a daily basis. These are people (and kids) who depend on food banks and other sources to just keep hunger at bay. I don’t think many of us know what it is like to go to bed hungry or even go a whole day without eating a proper meal. For some, this is a reality. The film features interviews with Jeff Bridges, Tom Colicchio, and experts on the subject, along with those who help those in need. It also features music by The...

Resident Evil: Retribution is another film in the Resident Evil series. This is the second one in 3D. These films are shot in 3D, so they look great. I am surprised they keep making these, but they must keep making money. Do these films resemble the games anymore? Just curious. The two main stars in this film are Milla Jovovich (of course) and Michelle Rodriguez. Paul W.S. Anderson directed again. I have to give them credit for making some good trailers. I also really like the Resident Evil: Afterlife trailer.
“The...
