The Big Lebowski is one of my all time favorite films, but sadly it’s a film that I never saw in the theater. This Saturday I plan to change all that by attending The Armour Screenland’s showing of The Big Lebowski! There is just nothing like slamming down a few White Russians and watching The Dude abide.
One thing I can’t stand is watching this film alone, so I would highly suggest everyone attend and help support our local cinemas, because there is nothing like tossing back a few drinks with The Dude! Because...

I was beyond excited to have snagged a red carpet spot for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Fan Event for Dallas, Texas. I have always been a devout Twihard since I read the books. Kansas City did not have many opportunities to do anything interview-wise for any of the Twilight Saga films. I think I bothered the PR rep here enough that she kindly let me have a spot for this event. It was like some kind dream come true (for me).
We were able to interview Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Ashley...

Halloween season is in full swing with the holiday arriving on Monday, you have a little more than a week to put the finishing touches on your costume. The big studios have been releasing their scare fare since August starting off with the remake of the eighties cult classic Fright Night to mostly positive reviews. It was followed by the thud, in more ways than one of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and just last week marked the release of the sequel (was it a prequel or a remake? A bit of both) of The Thing. This week brings...

ORLANDO, Fla. With 15,000 attendees, SXSW Interactive was bigger than ever. Pushing the event into the lime light, last year Interactive was barely a blip on my radar as I never really thought of it as much more than straight laced work zone in the middle of a fantastic party. This year not much had changed, but the crowd did seem a little more open to having more fun.
While most of my Interactive time was spent in the Screenburn Arcade it was nice to see the gaming industry have more of a presence this year, even in the parties, music included....

Arriving on Saturday at Planet Comicon I see two five year old boys, one costumed as Batman and the other trailing him as Superman. Up ahead at the door is an adult Heath Ledger-type Joker smoking a cigarette. I point the boys out to Angie, my wife and smile at the parents walking behind them and nod at the boys. “World’s Finest.” Angie says to the boy dressed as Batman. “Look, The Joker’s right there. Are you going to kick his butt?” Batman squares his little shoulders and snarls”Yeah!”...
